We encourage everyone to look at the website FIRST for any information you may need and if you have any questions talk to your coaches or parent rep. Each team has their own page so please look there to see if your coach has information posted. An added bonus is the opportunity to have your child’s team schedule/changes sent directly to your phone (text/e-mail) so that you remember their next game/practice. Set this up from our website.
Coaches and Referees/Lines People – are always needed. Please let us know if you are interested in volunteering for such an exciting role. Referees/Lines people are paid positions. If we do not have coaches, we do not have a team. This year we would like a coach and assistant coach and parent rep for all teams. These are people volunteering their time so let’s help them out in any way we can! We appreciate your help!
Registration Policies – Parents and/or players are not able to request which team they wish to play on. Players will be divided into teams by the Executive and coaches based on age, gender and ability. The number of teams/division will depend on the number of players and coaches (no coach; no team).
Soccer Gear Requirements – Shin guards are required for all ages. Soccer cleats are mandatory for U8 & up. Players are expected to always bring their own water bottle and their own soccer ball to practices (identified with name). Ball Sizes: KK, U6 and U8 – size 3 balls, U10 and U12 – size 4 ball and U14 – size 5 ball.
This year we are happy to announce that Timbits soccer will be donating a jersey, ball and socks to all KK, U6 and U8 players. Thanks Tim Hortons!
2022 First practices – Practices will start on Wednesday – April 20th and 27th at the Belmore arena for U8-U12 divisions.
U6 - 6pm Curling Arena in Belmore
Jerseys will be handed out first night of practice!
Volunteer Help – As previously mentioned we are looking for volunteers to coach, assistant coach, and parent reps. It takes a village to run a minor sports league and we ask every family to help out in some way. We will have a signup sheet and/or the executive may reach out to you personality to request help with a certain task.
We are also always looking for new people for our club executive, for fresh and new ideas. If you are interested in helping in any of the roles, please contact one of our club executive members for further information.

In all fairness to the team and coaches, if possible please plan your vacation time around these soccer tournament dates and the week of to ensure each team has sufficient players. Tournament games are also played during the week leading up to the tournament and the Saturday. We do not have all info for tournaments yet.
After two years of no soccer and the expected increase in costs this year, we need to have a successful Fundraising season. We wanted every kid in Howick to be able to play soccer if they wanted to, so we kept registration costs as low as projectivity possible. We also thank the Howick Optimist Club for their donation of $25 per player which was applied at registration.
This year we did not require a fundraising cheque deposit and we are not setting minimum standards to be met. We are however strongly encouraging every family to try their best and put a good effort in.

Food Truck Night Fundraiser in Howick!
We are hosting a Food Truck Night Sunday May 15 4-8pm at the Howick Community Centre. More details to follow! We will need MANY volunteers to make this night a success! We will have a sign up sheet for duties. Please Please help the Executive out. We are 5 women strong—but like to delegate 😊
