U8 #1, 2013 (Howick Minor Soccer)

Our Howick U8#1 team finished the season strong with 3 wins and 1 tie!  This resulted in winning of the 'D' Championship in Elma. All players have shown improvement in their play and started to see the benefits of passing, playing in position and shooting on the net.  This was a fun team to coach; thanks for a great season everyone :) Don't forget about the end of year banquet August 15th at the Fordwich ball park.  Please return cleaned uniforms at the banquet.

A great game was played by the Howick U8#1's on Tues and we came away with our first win of the season!  All players were keeping to their positions and passing the ball up the field - taking shots on the net seemed to help as well ;) Playoffs start this week - our first game is July 23 (Tues) on our home field.  See you there!!

Just heard from the Listowel coach that Tuesday's game will be cancelled.  We will reschedule and post the new date asap. Happy Canada Day!

Recently the Howick U8#1's have been working hard and have tied 2 of our last 3 games.  Good effort and many new skills are being demonstrated on the field! This past Saturday the team took on Listowel during the All Star weekend in Wallace... the smaller field and nets gave our players a hard time resulting in a bit of confusion and many shots going just wide of the Listowel net.  A great try by all players in attendance! Coming up, our final 3 games are on the road and the team will be gunning for our first win!  All of our hard work will pay off soon!  See you on Thurs.
