Howick ties both Listowel teams
Howick had a home and home series with Listowel over the past 2 weeks and came out of the series with 2 ties.

Howick travelled to Listowel and played to a 2 to 2 draw. Howick opened the scoring with a goal from Austin English. Carly Kreller broke in on a break away and hammered a goal to take a 2-0 lead into the half. Cole Schefter played awesome net to record a shut out in the first half. Nigel Versteeg assisted on both goals.

With 2 questionable calls resulting in a yellow and a red card Howick finished the game down a player and Listowel scored twice to finish the game tied at 2.

Listowel team 2 came to Howick and again Howick carried the lead into the 1/2 with a 1-0 score. Nigel Versteeg scored on a great kick to open the score. Austin English played a strong game at forward and had many chances  including a penalty kick but could not find the back of the net. Cole Scheffer again continued his shut out play allowing no goals in his half. Cole made many excellent saves.

Listowel scored on a goal scramble with 12 men on the field but the penalty was not called in time. Both teams had excellent chances and the game ended up tied at 1.

Nigel Versteeg played an awesome second half in net allowing only the one goal. The D lead by Jordan, Syd, William, Lisa and Katie are playing excellent and are keeping the scoring chances by the other teams down

" We are getting better each game but we need to concentrate on our passing and our mids need to be better getting back on D. Our D is very solid and our goaltending has been great but we need to create more scoring chances. We are looking forward to playoffs!" commented coach Howie
